Hostmonster.com

A US based company, been in business since 1996 (that’s quite a long Internet time), and definitely one of the .  Actually, it’s the hosting this website is with now!Hostmonster

They claim their service is suitable for ‘From the business owner to the individual who desires full functionality on a small budget,Hostmonster C-panel provides your complete web hosting solution.’ (I can see only one service plan on the website though.) The plan is $6.95/month, with 1,500 GB storage, 15,000 GB/month traffic, hosting unlimited domains, 100 MySQL databases with one free domain as long as you’re still with them. For people who need e-commerce, they provide SSL, shopping carts, certificate, etc. All these things come with extra $50 Yahoo and $50 Google credits! You can see now why I’m moving to them.

The most important thing is, according to my research, they only have good reviews. It’s not uncommon to have some ‘bad’ comments when you’ve been around for eleven years, but I hardly saw such bad comments on . Perhaps I don’t need to move my sites again. (You who used to move know it well, not necessary and we don’t do it.)

Update (12-4-07): Try whoising my website and see with which hosting it’s hosted now

Update 2 (12-5-07): On day three after signing up with Hostmonster, my account was suspended this morning because they suspected it wasn’t legitimate.  (What that really means I have no idea.)  One-minute phone call and the issue was resolved.  A bit annoying to me but on the positive side this is a good measure.  It hasn’t anything to do with their service either.

Update 3 (12-6-07): Man!  It seems I was a little too early.  A few days after my signing up, they raised storage limit to 600 GB and monthly bandwidth to 6,000 GB  .

Update 4 (1-6-08): Their hosting price is upped to $6.95/month.  Not a good news for tight budgeters, huh?

Update 5 (1-20-08): and was upgraded to 1,500 GB and 15,000 GB respectively.
