Easy CGI Hosting

Unlike most (if not all) other providers listed on this website, Easy CGI Hosting is among few hosting companies that offer only Windows based server plan.  Their headquarters in Pearl River, New York, Easy CGI had been an ISP before climbing into web hosting industry.  And that was in 1998.  They may not be the most popular, as their customers are around 20,000 websites, or about 10% of big names like Hostmonster or IXWeb, but I doubt if they aren’t among the better ones.

Easy CGI has a variety of hosting plans for you to choose: shared, virtual or dedi.  Their shared hosting starts from $7.96/month.  It provides Windows 2003 server (Yeah! Any MS fans out there?), 350 GB space, 3,500 GB monthly transfer, unlimited sites hosted, 50 MySQL databases AND unlimited MS Access (talking about being Microsoft’s fans?).  Other ’standards’ include 30-day money back guarantee, 99.9% uptime guarantee, hosting control panel, same day free-of-charge setup, 24/7 phone and email support, etc.  ‘Nix or Windows, the options aren’t easy to overcome, especially if you’re developing mainly with .NET or ASP.  They’re MS native after all.  Oh, I almost forgot, they claim to have their own data center within the area of their office too.

I barely saw negative comments on their service/support.  Perhaps because of a much narrower customers’ base.  However, in my opinion, one of the advantages of a hosting company with ten years in business yet only 20,000 customers’ sites is that they’re unlikely to oversell their products.

Not bad, price- or feature-wise.  Jotted it down on my list, just in case .
